Looking for pet-friendly place in Heaton etc 🌞

Hello 🌞

I’m Helena - I’m a 27 year old civil servant and I’m looking for a *pet friendly* flat or room in (north/east) Newcastle!

The areas I had in mind are:

Heaton, Jesmond, South Gosforth, Sandyford, Ouseburn…

Budget:

£650 total (rent + bills) - can maybe stretch this a bit if needed though

About me (& Poppy 🐾):

• I’m a considerate tenant - I take joy in a nice home-environment & like to keep my space pretty neat. I am respectful of noise & personal space. I don’t know many folk in Newcastle so wouldn’t have parties etc, but don’t mind if others ever want to have a wee gathering in the flat!

• I work for the civil service in a role which has been WFH until recently when they have done a wide push to get folk into the office (my closest office is in Newcastle)… It’s a 3 days/week min policy just now, but as I currently live near Edinburgh that 4hr/day commute is not sustainable… So relocating is essential

• I am autistic/ADHD - I can be introverted at times, but I do love to hang out with friends regularly (when I have the social-battery) & go to cafes, pubs, gigs, charity shops/markets etc. I also completely understand the need to recharge, so if you are looking for someone who knows the balance of social time vs alone time, I’m your gal

• I’m an open-minded person & it’s important to me that my friends/flatmates are too. To me, this includes: LGBTQ+ friendly, accepting of disability/chronic illness, left-wing, intersectional feminist, neurodivergent friendly, non-discriminatory etc etc

• I love crafty wine nights & chatting sh*te in the pub more so than going out-out, but I can defo be convinced to go out for a dance if it’s the right night!

• My dog Poppy is part of the package deal, and she’s a sweetheart. She’s a 10 year old Pomeranian (small fluffy breed) who I adopted a couple of years ago. She’s the most loving & well-natured dog, and spends a lot of her time napping & enjoying that senior dog life.
*I will note that she can bark a bit when excited (e. g. pre-walkies, when I come home). It can be a bit annoying, but thankfully it’s not a super shrill ‘yap’ & is usually short-lasting*

I’d love to hear from any folk who feel I might suit them as a flatmate (including those who have a room & those who fancy buddying up)

I am also keen to discuss 1 bed pet-friendly rentals if there are any available
